10 Million pound investmentinto Hebburn!

Dear Resident

I am delighted to share some brilliant news with you for our Hebburn community.

I have worked very closely with Government Ministers for months now and I am so pleased that this week, Alex Norris, Housing, Communities and Local Government Minister and I have announced a massive 10 Million pound investment into Hebburn!
£2Million of which will be directly ringfenced for Hebburn Town FC’s Community Hub Project.

It has been a pleasure to work on ensuring this investment to our community. I have enjoyed bringing officials to Hebburn to showcase our local area and meet local community representatives and businesses and I’ve absolutely loved arranging for Hebburn FC to visit Parliament on multiple occasions to meet Ministers from different departments and of course bringing the Minister to Hebburn FC in June and again now for this announcement.

Hebburn FC is already a real community asset, reaching many local families in Hebburn and across our constituency. Their Community Hub Project is going to be absolutely fantastic for the area and I know from both the club’s consultation and my recent survey this investment is welcomed. This funding is not just about football, it will help the whole community, will increase opportunities and health benefits for our children, and residents of all ages.

The development of this facility will establish Hebburn Sports Ground as the community hub for all sporting and social purposes. The new pitches will be able to be played on all year-round, allowing for an increase in participation with more teams, training sessions, matches, tournaments and other activities.

The community facility will host a variety of events beyond sports, giving local people opportunities to form stronger social connections and engage in all there is to offer.

Delivering this project will create local jobs, with the changes to the facilities and grounds. Once complete the expansion of the grounds will also bring new job opportunities with the need for new staff for roles such as facility management, coaching, event coordination, hospitality, and administrative support.

This is real investment into our communities under this Government, and it is something that I am proud to have led on, as your Member of Parliament.

I hope that you are as excited as I am to see the Government taking direct action to invest in our community, and I will keep residents informed of any further announcements that may come.
