The General Election has been called for the 4th of July.
The North has been my home for 35 years and to represent the historic constituency of Jarrow this Parliament has been the honour of my life.
I’m proud to be standing as Labour’s candidate for the newly named Jarrow and Gateshead East.
Finally, we have some hope for better for our communities, the chance to elect a Labour Government.
A Labour Government that can start to fix the mess 14 years of Tory chaos and corruption has caused.
Labour can start to rebuild our country so we all have a better, brighter future.

Be part of my campaign
Both myself and my team have worked hard for our Jarrow constituency over the past 4 years – with big successes for individuals and businesses, helping everyone cope with the impact the Conservatives are having on a daily basis as well as visiting hundreds of organisations and local events.
In Parliament I have been doing all I can to hold the Government to account, trying to amend legislation, representing on the Women and Equalities committee, chairing the All Party Parliamentary Group on the North East, asking the Prime Minister and Ministers parliamentary chamber questions, demanding better for our community and country and of course continuing to demand justice for the subpostmasters and women born in the 1950’s.
For 14 years consecutive Conservative Governments have failed our country. Mortgage and rent payments have increased, schools are crumbling, pensioner and child poverty is rising, the NHS and social care are in crisis and more people are using food banks than ever before.
Labour will start rebuilding our country so we all have a better, brighter future.
This General Election will be hugely important for our new constituency of Jarrow and Gateshead East – I am asking you to Vote Labour and to let us start fixing the mess these Conservatives have made of our country.
We know the Tories will use their campaign to continue to seek to divide us, whipping up yet more hate with unworkable immigration policies, attacks on workers, attacks on people reliant on benefits, attacks on LGBTQ+ people and using vile rhetoric all designed to distract from their mess – Labour will set out our plans to start rebuilding our country and actually help people.
Labour will lift Pensioners and Children out of poverty, levy a proper windfall tax on the huge profits the energy giants are making, stop private companies from dumping shit into our waterways, save our NHS and social care, invest in policing and tackle Anti Social Behaviour and start helping people again.

Door Knocking
The best way to engage with voters is by door knocking and finding out their voting intention.
Join me out on the Labour Doorstep throughout the campaign by joining regular door knocking sessions.
Leafleting
Volunteer an hour of your time and help deliver a round of leaflets in your local area.
Phonebanking
Help me speak to as many residents as possible in the comfort of your own home by joining an organised phone banking session.

Spread the message of voting Labour & for Kate Osborne for Jarrow and Gateshead East by putting a poster up on your window.
